PROPERTIES
Pearls have a crystalline structure, and consists of 80-92% calcium carbonate (CaCO3) in its primary form, known as aragonite. Calcium carbonate is present in secondary form as calcite, and there is also a small amount of water present. The properties of Pearl Extract are comparable with those of mother of pearl. From Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is known that the minerals and amino acids bound in pearl powder are absorbed into the skin and accelerate the natural metabolism of the skin, tone it, reduce skin impurities, shrink pores and reduce skin reddening.
